What I experienced

This bike helmet’s walkie-talkie feature is amazing. No other helmet in the market gives a half-mile range for intercom communication. This Sena R1 Evo has some more unique features than the Sena R1 standard. Sena R1 Evo functions are controllable through voice commands. However, there are also three built-in buttons located on the left side of the helmet to control its all technology features. After reading Sena smart guide book that comes in accessories, I feel easy to control its functions.

Mesh Intercom function well with riders wearing R1 evo in 900-meter range

During the trial, I found that its mesh intercom connects me to my friend’s R1 Evo helmet as long as I was in the 900-meter range. When I go out of range connection drops and re-connects again when I get back in range. According to the manufacturer, its Mesh intercom connection supports 9 different channels that let the user switch between other groups of different frequencies. However, I experienced distortion in communication after the 700-meter range.

Noise-free front microphone and above ears speakers make our communication effective. The voice through these speakers is fully understandable by me and my friend.

Important consideration

Its intercom function is totally dependent on the bicycle helmets connecting. So, the intercom works even if you have no phone at all. Moreover, there is no need to pair these Sena Bluetooth bike helmets again and again. However, when the intercom function is active nothing comes from my smartphone-like music, phone call, GPS navigation Etc. There is a need to push the center button to switch between intercom and phone connectivity.

Phone calls, Music listening, and GPS navigation

After switching from the intercom function, I can take a phone call, listen to music, and hear GPS navigation from my phone. I found its sound quality isn’t impressive for music but good enough for voice communication. The call from this helmet is clear like a handset.

To see the GPS navigation route on the mobile screen I installed a handlebar phone holder on my bike. I found this arrangement very effective for this helmet. It also keeps me in touch with my phone while using the intercom function.

Bluetooth music streaming automatically paused when I switch to the Mesh Intercom function. Similarly, When I turned off the Mesh Intercom function then the Bluetooth streaming automatically came in line. Anyhow, If you want to enjoy music with intercom function simultaneously then insert a Bluetooth earbud into your right ear, leaving the left ear open to hear traffic and intercom.

 FM radio function

There is no radio device in this helmet. I am only able to listen to FM radio after connecting via Bluetooth to my phone. However, there is a Sena app on my phone that can save up to 10 radio stations.

Extended shape design offers excellent head protection

Its in-mold-constructed polycarbonate shell bounding with EPS foam creates a compact and lightweight helmet. According to the manufacturer, Its high-density EPS foam can absorb impact force and save the rider’s skull during any collision. I tested this helmet in large size for my 23″ head circumference and its extended shape design offers good head coverage, especially to the backside of my head. I did not meet any accidents with this helmet but I feel secure in it.

Dial knob to make quick adjustments with one hand

I easily tighten this helmet by using the dial on its back. Its Dial fit system offers an easy one-hand operation. Moreover, Its chin strap and buckle are also made of good quality. During the evaluation, I did not experience any fitting issue for my intermediate oval shape head. I am well pleased with this helmet fitting system.

Caution

If your head size is on the edge of medium and large then it better to choose the upper size for this helmet.

Lightweight and comfortable helmet with excellent ventilation

I feel this helmet is lightweight and stable on my head. During the evaluation, I experienced good air circulation around my head through 15 vents. All these features make this helmet very comfortable for cycling. Overall it is the best Bluetooth bike helmet.

What I experienced

This latest Sena R2 model has all the neat tricks of the original Sena R1. But as compared to R1, R2 features a more aerodynamic shape with a standard back-light. Moreover, the R2 model shape is more suitable for a relatively long oval head shape. During the trial, Its sleeker vent opening maximizes fresh air circulation around my head even at a slow speed. As compared to Sena R1, the R2 model sits more comfortably on my wife’s head because it can easily accommodate a low ponytail.

 Important consideration

Before purchasing, confirm the Sena Bluetooth helmet models of your group fellows because you cannot connect the R1/R2 standard model with R1/R2 Evo for communication. However, you can connect this latest R2 Evo model with the old R1 Evo through a mesh intercom. Similarly, the R2 standard is compatible with other Sena Bluetooth models like R1, X1S, and M1.

Pros
  • 5-star Bluetooth helmet special of its kind.
  • USB port to recharge the battery.
  • Exceptional sound quality.
  • Excellent ventilation.
  • Cloth bag in accessories.
  • Good quality of head retention system.
  • Excellent for road cycling in night.

What I experienced

The beauty of this helmet is its strong interconnection which you can enjoy by engaging with your cycling group. It comes with built-in high-quality speakers and a mic in the front of the helmet. Cell phones are not required for the intercom function to work with this smartest cycling helmet. My wife and I paired these R1-STD bike helmets without pairing them to our cell phones. Its intercom function works well up to 500 m. However, we have not tried them to 900 m distance.

Its advanced noise control technology helps me to communicate without the disturbance of wind and white noise. I found Its speaker sound quality OK for phones call but not very impressive for music listening. To enjoy music or receive phone calls you need to connect this helmet with your smartphone via SENA SmartApp.

Group intercom affinity through Bluetooth connection

Its group intercom facility allows you to connect with your 4 fellow riders who have Sena R1, R2, X1, and M1 models. When my wife and I paired our R1-STD bike helmets then we can talk to each other without pressing any button. However, when I pressed the center button my helmet disconnected the intercom function and start playing music via my phone. To talk again, my wife push the center button which interrupt my cell music and we started the conversation again. Similarly, when anyone from your group fellow pushes the center button it will interrupt others’ music to start the conversation.

I found this helmet intercom connectivity flawless. Through this helmet, I communicate with my wife in crystal clear audio. I love this helmet just for its amazing intercom feature. Moreover, I feel easy to switch helmet connectivity between intercom and mobile phone connection.

 Sena smartphone App

After installing the Sena smartphone app through the google play store, I paired my phone with this helmet to take phone calls, hear the GPS navigation and fitness cues. By using the phone-Bluetooth-helmet connection I attended the phone call of my friend on the other side of the world without taking off my hand from the bike handlebar. With the Sena smartphone app, you can take control and enjoy other Sena features also.

I listen to my favorite music and podcast while riding without obtrusive headphones or dangling wires. It would also give me clarity in my surrounding environment as well as enjoy the ambiance of music

 Elegant design

This helmet is designed in such a way that a rider can enjoy comfort and quality at the same time. After long-term usage, its pads are easily removable and washable. Moreover, the nylon-made chinstrap has also been elegantly designed. The spin lock is an extra feature that makes it fit on my head.

 Sun protection

If you want to keep your skin protected from the harsh sun rays, you can buy an optional Sena R1 visor. It would not come with the product. You have to buy it separately.

It’s simply amazing and highly recommended

Other than smart technology features, its comfortable design, washable and removable inner padding, spin lock for fitness, and an eco-leather chinstrap, leave no choice for your next cycling adventure other than this Sena R1 bicycle helmet.

Pros
  • Engineered for comfort and security.
  • Good talk time.
  • Long-lasting charging time.
  • Intra-bike communication.
  • Best Bluetooth for taking calls.
  • Excellent for racing bikes.
  • Effective communication.
Cons
  • Some optional parts need to buy separately.

What I experienced

LIVALL made a nice improvement in BH51M Neo model by giving front indicator lights. As compared to BH51M-M this upgraded Neo model has 360’ visibility which is really nice for rider security in dark conditions. Other than protection this helmet design to entertain riders with smart technology features like a walkie-talkie, FM radio, hands-free phone calls, music listening, and SOS intelligent rescue. During the examination, I found its sensors and navigation instruments quality good enough. There is no other replacement for this smart budget helmet on the market.

 Automatic LED taillights

This helmet’s LED taillights with indicators are very attractive. Its front & taillight is also controlled by light detecting and acceleration sensors. During the examination at night, its light detecting sensor automatically turns on its red taillight. However, when I apply sudden brakes the acceleration sensor activates all its front and back lights which makes me noticeable even from a 150-meter distance. Its front and back lights remain active for 8 sec after being activated through the accelerating sensor. However, I did not find its acceleration and light-detecting sensors very efficient during the testing.

 indicator lights and handlebar remote

Its front and back indicator lights are controllable only with the handlebar remote. This helmet and handlebar remote are only connected with each other via mobile phone Bluetooth. There is no direct connection between the helmet and the handlebar remote. This thing disappointed me a little. However, After pairing it to my smartphone this helmet’s smart features and handlebar remote work together efficiently. During night rides, these LED Indicator lights are very noticeable and have 360′ visibility to all other traffic. However, in sunlight, it did not glow as expected.

 Helmet with GPS navigation

After setting the direction by using GPS navigation in the LIVALL app, I took direction guidelines through helmet speakers. I did not feel any need to track the route on the mobile screen. However, sometimes due to traffic sounds, I was unable to hear these speaker sounds. If you also want to track routes on a mobile screen, then installing a smartphone mount holder on your bicycle handlebar is a better option.

Handlebar remote to control all features

After installing this remote very close to the handlebar griper, I get easy access to its buttons by thumb. There is no need to take off my hand from the griper. Remote left and right arrow buttons are used to activate turn signals and up and down arrow buttons are used to change speaker volume. The red center button uses to answer phone calls. To cancel an incoming phone call I pressed its center red button two times. Similarly, to redial the last number, I again double pressed the center button.
Furthermore, the remote top button can turn on and off the camera of the smartphone. I put my smartphone on the bike handlebar by using a phone holder, then I filmed my riding route by using this button.
There is also a button on the remote to activate walkie-talkie communication with other group members. Moreover, there is no need to charge this remote. You can replace its 2032 battery easily when you notice a delay in the control functions of the remote.

 Walkie-talkie communication via Bluetooth

This helmet walkie-talkie communication occurs through a Bluetooth connection with others BH51M models. So, there is a limited range. I found it workable for the 30 m range only. However, according to the manufacturer, there can be a maximum of 200 members in this group. But I found the Walkie-talkie feature of Sena RI Evo is far better than this helmet. If you want to purchase a smart bike helmet for the walkie-talkie feature, then I do not recommend this LIVALL helmet.

Its anti-loss alarm system keeps mobile safe

After phone connection, this helmet gives an alarm at a 15-meter distance from the phone. If you forget your mobile phone someplace then this feature helps you to remind your phone place.

 Auto-off feature save battery charging

Its 600 mAH battery takes 2 hours to be fully charged. But this battery discharges in 5 hours when I use the Bluetooth speakers and LED Lighting at the same time. During the evaluation, I found this helmet auto-off feature very helpful to save battery charging. A person who travels regularly to some distance can use one battery charge for a week. Because after disconnection with the phone, this helmet will turn off automatically within 15 min.

 SOS intelligence rescue system

In the LIVALL app, a rider can save 3 emergency contacts. During the trial, when I hit this helmet then its SOS system activates and the LIVALL app automatically sends a help message to my selected emergency contact. However, after hitting there is 90 sec time to cancel the SOS alarm. SOS alert message includes rider position with track record. This LIVALL app is also compatible with STRAVA, SIRI, and IHEALTH.

 Certified protection level

This helmet is certified with European, Australian, and North American safety standards. These CPSC, EN1078 & AS/NZS 2063 certifications approved this helmet as safe for bicycles, e-scoter, and skateboarding. This helmet got certification after impact, chemical, and strap retention tests. However, our safety expert declares this helmet safe for non-aggressive riding activities.

 Acceptable Comfort

This helmet sits well on my 23″ head circumference. I feel this helmet is very lightweight and comfortable on my head. There are 12 vent openings from where my head can breathe but I found this helmet is good for temperatures less than 30’c. There is also a dial knob for fit adjustments. If for some reason the helmet does not fit perfectly then you can return it with a full refund. Overall it is the most attractive and comfortable Bluetooth helmet on the market.

Caution

It could be hard to find a charging cable if you lost or broken it. So be careful

Pros
  • Attractive shape and design.
  • Cheap Bluetooth helmet.
  • Waterproof.
  • Advance technology helmet.
  • Suitable for bicycle, e-scoter, and skateboard.
  • Most safe helmet for city traffic roads.
  • High tech bicycle helmet.

  • Leather sun visor.
  • One-handed dial fit system.
  • Charging port with waterproof gasket.
Cons
  • Only comes in one size.
  • Not suitable for hot weather condition.

What I experienced

As compared to Sena R1-STD, this helmet battery has more charging capacity. Sena R1 and X1S bike helmets are almost the same in function but mostly people prefer R1 just for style reasons. Anyhow, this X1S helmet is a good option if you like a helmet with long battery life. I felt the need to charge this helmet after 15 hrs of usage with music and intercom function. Sena did some updates to the X1S model to make it more ergonomic for an intermediate oval head shape. I tested this helmet in large size for my 23” head circumference. It sits well and feels comfortable on my head. Moreover, I found its 3 control buttons easily accessible while riding. However, its functions are also controllable through a handlebar remote called RC4. But you have to purchase it separately from Sena.

 Bluetooth intercom functionality

According to the manufacturer, its group intercom can stay in touch with the other 3 group members within a half-mile radius. However, I experienced distortion in communication after the 700-meter distance. I tested its intercom function by pairing it with Sena R1-STD models. However, during the evaluation, I successfully synchronize this Sena X1S intercom connectivity to other Sena R2, M1, and X1 models without any app. Like the Sena R1-STD model this model has a center button that you need to press for switching between intercom and phone pairing.

 Good sound quality for communication

If I share my experience with this helmet, I took interruption-free phone calls during the ride. After pairing, this helmet took all kinds of audio signals from my smartphone. Its HD audio speakers offer good quality of sound like Sena R1-STD. Moreover, Sena’s advanced noise control technology makes this helmet microphone noise-free. As a result, the listener of my phone call during riding just hears my voice without any breathing or wind noise.

 Sena smartphone app

All the features of this helmet are easily controllable through Sena smart app. According to the manufacturer, you can save your favorite FM station in this app. This app can also keep your tracking record by giving fitness cues.

Extended shape design with good protection

Its lightweight in-mold-constructed polycarbonate shell is bonded with EPS foam to create a sturdier helmet. Its high-density EPS foam can absorb impact force to save the rider’s skull during a collision. Moreover, its extended coverage design can offer maximum head protection in case of an accident. I felt very secure in this helmet, but I did not test this helmet in any crash. However, last month my friend James met a road accident while wearing this helmet. This Helmet’s outer material got cracks but not a single scratch on his head. He is happy with that and willing to purchase this helmet again.

Dial knob for quick fitting adjustment

This helmet sits well on my intermediate oval head shape. Its dial knob in the back helps me to tune fit tension around my head easily with one hand. Moreover, its smooth chin strap after buckling feels nice on my skin. During the trial, I did not find any issue related to this helmet fitting, and most customers are also well pleased with its fitting system.

Lightweight and comfortable helmet with excellent ventilation

In-mold construction enhances this helmet protection ability without any compromise on being lightweight and ventilated. Through its 12 large vents opening, I feel a good amount of airflow around my head at 15 km/hr speed. All these features make this helmet very comfortable for road cycling. I am completely satisfied with this best Bluetooth bike helmet performance but I like the Sena R1-STD helmet for style reasons.

Pros
  • Helmet with different color option.
  • Don’t need to charge again and again.
  • USB charging cable.
  • Pair easily with other Sena RI, R2, X1, M1 bike helmets.
  • Best Bluetooth helmet to take calls.
  • 3 buttons to control all features.
  • Also pair-able with RC4 handlebar remote.
  • Best smart bike helmet for walkie-talkie..
  • Great helmet for the price.
  • Helmet with noise control technology.
Cons
  • No back or front light.
  • Helmet size run a bit small.

What I experienced

This helmet with built-in lights makes me easily predictable to the traffic even in daylight. This helmet’s front and back lights significantly increase my visibility to other people during the night. Its lights automatically activated through an accelerating sensor when I applied sudden brakes during the trial. As compared to LIVALL BH51M, I found its accelerating sensor working is more efficient. However, I activated its turn signal by using 2 button handlebar remote that also comes with this helmet. Moreover, Its LUMOS app also gives me full information about battery life, riding route, covered distance, and remaining distance to my destination. This app also allows me to do settings related to warning lights, beep signal frequency, and many others.

Important note

There is a Bluetooth connection between mobile and helmet but there are no speakers and microphone in this helmet. So, you cannot make a phone call or use a walkie-talkie function through this helmet. This is a Built-in lights helmet and not designed for audio communication. You cannot either play any music.

Helmet and handlebar remote connect by radio waves. So, to control turn signal you can pair them without using a smartphone

Highly visible 48 LED lights with three lightning modes

When I pressed its power button all front(white) and back(red) LED lights (red) turned on. After that, there is a need of pressing the power button, again and again, to switch between sold, slow and fast flashing modes. To save battery life I choose slow flashing mode. These lights are also visible during daylight, but in the dark condition these LEDs are very eye-catching

 Front LED lights

Out of 48 LED lights, 10 are positioned in front of the helmet as the headlight of the helmet. During the evaluation, I found these lights are bright enough to reach a distance of 100 meters. However, Its front 5 LED lights change color from white to orange to give a turn signal indication.

 Turn indicator lights

Its 22 LED indicator lights are positioned along the rear sides of the helmet. These turn signals give 360′ visibility which is very safe for road cycling at the night. During the trial, I found it very convenient to give turn signal indications by using 2 buttons on the handlebar remote. These LED lights glow orange for turn signal and shine brightly in red when the rider applies sudden brakes.

 Automatic brake light

There are 16 LED lights positioned in a triangle shape as the backlight of the helmet. These lights remain activated after turning the power on. However, the turn signal indicators glow with backlights only when I apply brakes. The brake warning light is controllable by an accelerator sensor that is fixed in the handlebar remote. But firstly, there is a need to activate the brake light option through the LUMOS smartphone app.

Easily removable handlebar remote for security or charging purpose

During the examination, I just twist and pull off the handlebar remote from my cycle. I found its attaching and detaching mechanism smooth and convenient. However, I don’t like it as routine practice. This handlebar remote comes with a rechargeable battery. It take usually 15 minutes or less to charge this remote. However, I have to remove this remote once a week for changing purposes. This feature also helps the rider to keep the remote safe from getting stolen. If you lose this remote then you have to spend 29$ to purchase another one.

LUMOS app includes a variety of features

To see the remote and helmet battery status, the LUMOS app provides useful information. Moreover, with the help of GPS tracking, this app can keep a full record of previous rides like time of ride, date, distance, and route map everything is saved in record.
You can also do the setting related to distance unit, beep frequency, tracking record, and warning light activation. I download this app from Google Play Store.

Non-replaceable helmet battery last for 7000 hours

This helmet’s fixed battery is not accessible to the user. However, the battery lasts as long as the helmet lasts. According to the manufacturer, If you use this helmet daily for 6 hours then its battery will last for 3 years. After that time there is also a need to replace a bike helmet. If something unfortunate does happen to the charging cable you get a replacement for 13$.
I recommended this helmet for people doing less than 30 miles of the ride at night. Because its full charge battery lasts about 6 hours only with lights.

 Award winning innovative design

This helmet design has won the red dot design award and Edison award in 2016.The red dot design award is a German international design prize awarded given by Red Dot GmbH & Co. KG for a unique design. The competition focuses on young up-coming talent all around the world.

Edison award is an American company that runs an annual competition for horn excellence in innovation.

Extended shape design gives certified head protection

According to the manufacturer, this helmet’s EPS inner soft core after being covered by a hard polycarbonate shell can absorb high impact forces. This helmet sits well on my 23″ head circumference and offers excellent coverage. I feel it pretty secure on my head. This helmet is constructed in a mold so, there is no chance of shell splitting during a collision. I did not do any crash tests on this helmet but CPSC, EN1078, F1492 & AS2063 certifications gave me satisfaction with its protective ability. This helmet is safe for road biking and e-scooting.

There are two MIPS and non-MIPS versions of this model. Multi-directional Impact Protection System (MIPS) technology lets the helmet slide relative to the head and adds more protection against the rotational impact force. It does this by using slip-planes. As compared to the non-MIPS model, its MIPS model runs 39$ more.

 Highly adjustable and comfortable helmet

This helmet is available in only one size. But its highly adjustable dial knob on the back makes it suitable for head sizes between 54-62 cm. Moreover, after buckling its chin strap I did not feel any helmet undue movement on my head. During the trial, this helmet maintains the proper fitting on a bumpy road.
Its ventilation is fine; I don’t get any sweat on my head up to 95’F temperature. Its 22 vent openings allow a good amount of cool air circulation around my head. All its features like highly adjustable fitting, inner soft padding, and excellent ventilation make it suitable for the summer season.

What I experienced

As a Bluetooth bike helmet, this helmet can do a lot for customer satisfaction. Its two built-in premium quality speakers place perfectly above my ears. During the trial, I heard music and GPS navigation without blocking my ears from traffic. I found this helmet great for music listening without compromising safety while road cycling. When I compared this helmet with LIVALL BH51M then I found both Bluetooth helmets are the same in smart features but MT1 proved to be more lightweight and ventilated. However, the BH51M rear lights are bright and more attractive.

 LED smart lighting

When I turn on its power, all LED lights on the rear side of this helmet start blinking. I found these LED lights relatively dim in daylight but still helpful for me to communicate with other traffic at night. To control turn indicators you can connect this helmet with the handlebar remote without using the cell phone. Its indication lights turn off automatically after 5 seconds of button pressing. This helmet also gives a beep sound with the turn signal. Moreover, through the LIVALL app, you can select different flashing modes.

Phone calls, music, and GPS navigation

After installing LIVALL app I paired this helmet with my smartphone like any other Bluetooth audio device. After pairing, all kinds of audio signals like music, phone call, and GPS navigation slip into the helmet speakers from the mobile phone. When I connected it with the mobile its remote buttons also help me to play/pause music, answer phone calls, control volume, and turn ON/OFF the camera. During the test, I answer a phone call by pressing the center button. I experienced that when a call comes, music or navigation automatically pauses. I found the communication quality quite impressive through the helmet speaker and mic.

Its windproof microphone works well up to 18 mph speed

Its microphone is placed in the upper front portion. The design position of the microphone keeps it out of the wind. To check this windproof microphone, I rode my cycle as fast as I could. At high speed, the call listener hears my voice without any wind or breathing noise.

Smart handlebar remote to control all of its functionality

Five buttons on the handlebar remote can control speaker volume, navigation system, pause/resume music, answer phone calls, walkie-talkie function, and mobile camera. This smart remote is water-resistant. It has an xp5 rating, which means it can handle rain, splash, and sweat. But don’t submerge it in water. Moreover, there is no need to charge this remote again and again. Its cheap replaceable CR 2032 coin cell battery is easy to replace. I mount this remote on the handlebar by using rubber bands that came with this helmet.

 Walkie-Talkie function

According to the manufacturer, For the intercom function, you need to create a room in the LIVALL app then everyone in the room can talk in real-time with voice without any distance limit. However, the LIVALL app needs a stable internet connection to realize this function. I did not test this helmet intercom function, so can’t say anything about it.

 Rechargeable lithium battery

According to the manufacturer, its lithium battery is chargeable over 700 times before it dies. Moreover, You can also replace its battery by swapping out the control module in front of this helmet.

 LIVALL app and navigation

The LIVALL app can keep a full record of previous rides. Traveling records include the duration, date, time, distance, speed, and route map of rides. Before planning a new ride you can also calculate the duration, distance, time, and speed of the new route. you can also check the battery status of the remote and helmet through this app. Furthermore, this app can also give direction guidelines through helmet speakers during the ride.

 SOS security alert system

In the LIVALL app, there is the option to save 3 emergency contact numbers. If the rider gets a significant helmet impact then the SOS system activates by impact/G-sensor. Then LIVALL app automatically sends a help message to the emergency contact numbers. This message also includes the rider’s position with his track route.

Dual fit adjustment system and padded chin strap

This helmet is integrated with a dial wheel to do fitting adjustments. During the trial, I did not face any fitting issues. Its Tri-glide chin strap sits flat around my face. Moreover, I can also easily adjust these chin straps to form a perfect V at the base of my ears.

What I experienced

Other than bone conduction speakers this Coros Bluetooth helmet also has an auto LED tail light. Bone conduction speakers deliver rich audio through my cheekbone without blocking my ears to traffic. Moreover, its auto LED light activates itself in dark conditions. This best Bluetooth bike helmet also has a removable sun visor.

 Best Bluetooth helmet for music

Its bone conduction speakers have 100Hz-20 KHz frequency ranges that indicate their best quality. During the test, I enjoyed the music beat with lyrics. These speakers’ volume of 85 ± 3dB is loud enough to enjoy music without any distraction. However, I found these speakers’ proper sitting on the cheekbone is very important. Otherwise, the volume of the speakers feels low and unclear.

Effective communication with minimum wind noise

After pairing it with my smartphone, I took calls by simply pressing the yellow button on the handlebar remote. The position of the microphone keeps it out of the wind effect. As a result, the other side of my call just hears my voice without any wind noise. However, at high speed, it microphone fail to isolate wind noise completely.

Its five buttons remote can adjust volume, skip music tracks, pause and resume music, answer phone calls and turn on/off LED lights. There are also rubber bands of two sizes to mount this remote on the handlebar. I feel easy to swap this remote to my other bike handlebar.

 Auto LED tail light

Its auto LED light bars are sensible to the ambient lighting condition. But I am also able to turn them on/off manually from the remote. These tail lights are easily detectable from the rear side. However, one thing that annoys me is that I can’t use them as turn signals.

 COROS app and navigation

The COROS app can keep a full record of previous rides like time, date, distance, speed, and route map. This app also helps in the planning of a new ride by calculating the distance, time, and duration of new routes. Furthermore, this app can give direction guidelines through helmet speakers during the ride.

 SOS security alert system

In the COROS app, a rider can save 3 emergency contact numbers. If he gets a significant helmet impact, then impact/G-sensor activates its SOS security alert system. If the rider does not cancel the security alert then the COROS app automatically sends a help message to the selected emergency contact number. This message also includes rider position with his tracking route record.

I found its visor removing or reattaching mechanism very easy. You can ride without the visor in a good riding environment. Overall, it is the best smart bike helmet for road biking.

 Comfortable helmet with excellent ventilation

Its 18 vent openings keep my head cool even at 30’c temperature. These vent sizes and shapes are designed to maximize heat exchange in the skull section of the head form.
